Anime North is this weekend. Is anyone going?

I'll be at the artist alley all 3 days, and while the vongola history comics is currently on hold, feel free to stop by the table if you're interested in checking out the original drawings for the comics or just feel like chitchatting about what kind of horrible stuff we can milk out of Vongola's dark history. My table will have a big One Piece flag on it. To those who don't read One Piece, the flag is a pirate flag with a smiling skull and crossbones wearing a straw hat.

The Vongola History comicbook won't be ready for AN, but they will (hopefully) be ready for AX. Or at least, my goal is to at least finish the story about boss 1 and 2 by the time AX comes around. So do expect the story to be done by July, and if it is still not done by then,... well, wait longer. I swear to the shonen god that I will finish that bloody story.

I will be taking bookmark commissions at AN. The cost is $5, and the rule of the game is simple:
1. I will draw any character you requested (max of 3). Any series outside KHR is fine too, as long as you bring in a reference (PLEASE do NOT request anyone from naruto. There are plenty others who draw that already).
2. I can leave the drawing in pencil, or ink it. This one is entirely up to you.
3. I can leave the drawing in black and white with line shading (like the vongola history artstyle), or I can color it with copics. This is also entirely up to you.
4. The bookmark is 1.5" x 5" and will be laminated on the spot... unless you specifically requested not to.
5. Yes, you will get the original. These are all one-of-a-kind bookmarks. They have not been and will never be mass-produced. There will also be no digital alteration.

That Tsuna bookmark is $3, if you want it. It's cheaper because it's boring. =p

If you are already planning on going to AN, and are 100% certain that you want to commission a bookmark, it's better if you let me know in advance by leaving a comment here, stating what you want. This way when you stop by my table, the bookmark will be ready for you to pick up already.

First time I stared at a sleepy kitty and watched their eyelids droop every two seconds as it tried valiantly to stare back.

First time I saw a kitty yawn with its teeny tiny mouth and kind of produce a little, 'mewwwwll~' sound.

First time I had a kitty dozily stretch its neck out and bump its head against the cage, asking for scritches.

If little Frances isn't gone when I return in August, she's mine. (Though I bet she will be, the little cuteness. ;;)

According to this article from TV Guide, the lead characters of Maou have their Japanese names now.

Still no mention of a female lead actress, but Kobayashi Ryoko has mentioned in her blog that she will be appearing in the drama, and Uehara Misa's official site has been updated, announcing her appearance as well.

Considering filming is slotted to begin in about a week and still no official announcement, not even of the two girls' involvement, I highly doubt there's a female lead at all. |D;

Besides that, boxes are all cleared, there is space in the living room zomg, and it is lovely to know that Ohno has soft, fluffy feet. ♥ Come next week, it's back into the translation grind again. *squishes y'all MISS YOU LOTS*

[edit] Jun on Tokudane with Ogu-san! The modest little thing, he gives himself a very low score for almost everything on the chart ('acting', 'talk', 'looks', 'singing', the only higher-than-average one he gave himself, drawing straight lines with a coaster, was 'ideas'). He then explains that he thinks there's more, there's always more to improve on, and -- after Ogu-san comments that he's young and doesn't know his limits -- adds that he doesn't want to know his limits. The other folks on the panel remark that Jun is young, but it's remarkable that one so young can say such things, so they look forward to watching him grow even more with his wide scope of possibilities.

Ogu-san continues to say that all of Arashi are like that, with the same unique personalities, so he will always follow them. The lady laughs, and Ogu-san adds with a sheepish smile, "They asked me to follow them."

Chrome, Yamamoto and Gokudera are in scanned line form but Yama and Chrome looks really hideous TAT I can't seem to stick to one kind of chibi for very long *crai* (Actually yama just has a really long face...he looks weird with the round chibi heads;;; Chrome is just malformed beyond repair.)
