And by that I mean it's not listing any new releases for stuff I'm currently following. This makes me feel like I've run out of anime, which isn't ever true in my case because if I had to list all the stuff I haven't watched/finished/plantowatchinthislifetime it would be too overwhelming to look at (thus why I'm only keeping my plan to watch list at a reasonably manageable number over at MAL).

There's not even a new Ristorante Paradiso. I would have loved to finish this over the weekend. Although, if my plans push through tomorrow, I may just get what I want in that respect.

You'd think having 20 (now 18) titles on my Currently Watching in MAL would keep me well occupied for a week. This is, in fact, the most I've had listed that I'm concurrently watching. Seeing other people's current list always makes me think that's too many to be watching at the same time. Not that people actually watch all they have listed all at the same time. But still, the sheer number is rather daunting to look at, much less wade through, and yet here I am having 20 (now 18) titles in my currents list and I find myself whining that I've run out of stuff to watch. Have I made you fall asleep yet? Good.

Anyways, with nothing else on my plate I'll most likely finish xxxHOLIC, Kurokami, and possibly FLCL (for Critics and Connoiseurs) over the weekend then. After which I feel like I'm at a loss again as to what to watch next. Actually, after all that rambling, I now have a couple of candidates in mind.

And I was worried I had too much on my plate to follow the Summer season. This, after telling myself I'd sit out the next season since I was watching too much this season. Yeah right. Guess we'll just have to see once the subs start coming out.

Sorry for the time leap to Spring 2009 (circa week 11) but this is the easiest format to update with. I'd promised myself I'd make a proper update this time around or I'll never get around to reviving this journal. And if I don't do one now, there won't be one for tomorrow coz I won't have time to watch anime tonight on account of company sponsored free movie tonight (Transformers 2, YEAH BABY!!!).


So here be my dailies while I try to organize my thoughts in other areas.


Hatsukoi Limited (11)
- Penultimate episode, Enomoto was more annoying than usual. I'll be glad to have them resolve their differences soon. I'll be checking out the 4 volume manga afterwards.

Cross Game (11)
- End of the practice game. The last 3 episodes proves that I still have very little clue when it comes to how baseball works XD

Guin Saga (11)
- Lots of Nalis screentime on this. Sadly, he is still made of much fail, though he doesn't scream like a girl this time around.

Tears to Tiara (11)
- Where the random screencap of the day comes from. I just found that scene where Ogam unleashes his power to be very cool. Come to think of it, Ogam is probably one of the few old guys who doesn't exhibit a penchant for perviness. His droll humor is much love, though the crew seldom appreciates it :/
- Hmm, this was a more serious episode than usual. Normally, we get one humorous almost-but-not-quite-out-of-place scene, which amuses me much. This one is pretty much the resolution to the whole Olivia vs Lidia angst.

Still no new Phantom or Basara this week =/


In the oldies front, I picked xxxHOLIC back up. Apparently, I got further in than I thought. Skimmed some of the earlier episodes trying to find the last episode I saw and found quite a bit more 104 moments that I remember the anime having.

Well, glad I got that out of my system XD I was so frustrated that I decided to remove all the other manga on my MAL Reading list just so there's only two left. I look forward to the day when I can put this on the "On Hold" section XD

P.S. Almost forgot, heard through the grapevine that jpqueen is closing. Today is their last day June 25th, they'll send orders til July 8th or some such. Supposedly, you can see this announcement if you're logged in. I'm not registered though so I can't verify this personally.

Oh look, Sengoku Basara ep9 is out. Guess that means I won't be joining the cuz home today.

I go 'Huh' everytime I check his credentials and see Nabari no Ou's Thobari-sensei listed there.

Hetalia Axis Powers (9)
- I love America because he is such an egotistical self-involved idiot and because Konitan voices the dunce perfectly :3 Also, another 'Huh' moment because I keep thinking I like UK's voice but when I see who voiced him I get confronted with the seiyuu of Sasuke and Ishida Uryuu, Sugiyama Noriaki (杉山紀彰) :/

- Seiyuu! So many seiyuu showed up and saved this show for me <3 SekiToshi, Konitan, ItouKen, and the Schwarz :3 There needs to be series about all these characters, or sidestory ovas at the very least :E

- Well, some sort of plot movement. L.A. gets punished. Ellis shows more of her powers. Sanchez has the most interesting character design I've seen in anime for some time now. He almost looks like a real person. Ohtsuka Akio (大塚明夫), no wonder you sounded so good. Why are they tagged as "Special Guest" in the credits? Namikawa's end credit was the same.

Mostly new seasons but will likely follow only Natsume Yuujin-chou as the new episode airs, tho the crunchyroll-ness worries this fansub follower :/ Ippo can wait til I get caught up with the previous incarnation and Slayers I'm not even sure if there'll be any fansubs available.

Kurokami the Animation
- Art found on the official site made me want to check this out (see left). Again the whole streaming or whatever scheme worries me but I like what I've seen so far.

Hetalia Axis Powers
- I think Bhex was telling me about this being animated but I have yet to read the webcomic. And if the premise of male personifications of various countries of the world wasn't intriguing enough, the cast list is a definite winner. Konitan voices America (this just made me giggle madly), Takashi Hiroaki as Japan, Onosaka as France (lol), and Paku Romi as Swiss.

Final tally will be determined by fansub availability and the number of ongoing series I'm still following at the time. Will update my season list as soon as I've decided what to follow.
