Serious Seme mode bishie Tomoki, Sora no Oto - Episode 04
(also available in normal wimpy flavor)

Oh Hoshi, what am I to do with you XD And I thought flying pantsu was bad enough in Sora no Otoshimono, Episode 2; boy was I wrong. This time around we get exploding pantsu. I KID YOU NOT. I haven't even mentioned the pantsu robot ><;;;; Despite all that, this series is suprisingly idiotically FUNNY XDDD

Oh and whereas we got a full seiyuu cast ending song last week, this time we get a new Hoshi song entitled 戦士の休息 so it's not a total brainless loss XD

Serious Seme mode bishie Tomoki part deux, Sora no Oto - Episode 04

And in other news, FMA continues to be awesomely funny and cool at the same time. Also, I finally get to see Konitan's character on my next viewing of Monochrome Factor. I'm kinda gonna miss Yoshino Hiroyuki's Farfarello lookalike character though. I like his deep psycho voice here, which isn't quite Hallelujah-ish (its more cruel, less psycho, and sounds deeper). As with most seiyuu though, he gives himself away once he shouts. I could hear what I call parts of his fang voice coming out then.

Oh and I also picked up Honey & Clover. Gah, don't have the episodes with me so will post about it more when I have screencaps ready.

SHIT!

BSS SUBS ARE OUT!!!

FUCKIN' A!

And I almost downloaded the raw. Apparently I'm as excited about this as I was the first time around. Back then I also downloaded the raws coz I couldn't wait.

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control, and I think I like it...

[EDIT: Just finished watching. SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME]

Kobato. Our lead protagonist.

So the plot of CLAMP's new anime?

Kobato has a wish - a place she wants to go to. To get her wish, she has to fulfill her mission, which is to collect a lot of broken hearts into a flask. But to get the flask, she has to pass a test. The test? To live as a normal human for one day.

Her proctor - the blue plushie of doom.

Ioryogi-san. Not our lead protagonist.

more caps and commentary behind the cut )

Ok, too lazy to add more so yeah. What? It makes the cutest expressions XD

Sure to watch..

DARKER THAN BLACK: Ryuusei no Gemini
Thursday 25:25 (10/08)
- Looking forward to this the most but don't really have high hopes for some reason.

Inuyasha -The Final Act-
Saturday 26:20 (10/03)
- It's out but I don't really feel like watching it yet. Maybe when there are more episodes out or when it finishes. A must on the list but not a priority.

Sora no Otoshimono*
Sunday 24:00 (10/04)
- Hoshi's in it. Have seen it naturally. Ecchi, but not too offending, yet. Then again could be I'm just too busy enjoying Hoshi's freaking out voice to notice. More later?

Interested in..

Kimi ni Todoke
Tuesday 24:59 (10/06)
- Production I.G. and HachiKuro (or Eden of the East) art style, most anticipated.

Miracle☆Train ~Ouedo-sen e Youkoso~
Sunday 26:00 (10/04)
- After countries as people, was naturally curious about train stations as people. Seen it. Boring as hell. Love the seiyuu selection though. FujiKei is in it, which is a pleasant surprise. More on this later.

Tegami Bachi / Letter Bee
Saturday 22:55 (10/03)
- Curious about this, hear it around.

FAIRY TAIL
Monday 19:30 (10/12)
- Also curious about this coz I hear it around.

Winter Sonata
Saturday 12:00 (10/17)
- Never watched the kdrama in full, only bits and pieces and not interested to see more of it. A friend who watched it used to say the pacing was really really slow, it seemed to be the director's style. Very curious about the anime adaptation nonetheless.

Worth a look..

Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra
Friday 22:00 (10/02)
- Armed librarians seemed interesting. Saw the first episode, was not very impressed. Then again I may not have been in the most receptive mood. More on this later.

The Sacred Blacksmith
Saturday 09:30 (10/03)
- Title got me interested. Also, swords are love. Found the first episode underwhelming. More on this later.

11eyes
Tuesday 25:00 (10/06)
- No idea what this is but again the title catches my eye.

Kobato.
Tuesday 20:00 (10/06)
- Apparently the title has a period behind it. Not as abusive of punctuation marks as Hayate no Gotoku!! (one wonders if Hayate S3 will have 3 exclamation marks :p)
- Oh, forgot to say that it's CLAMP, which actually makes me disinterested since I'm not a fan, but took a look anyways. More on this later here.

What the heck..
(or curiosity killed got the better of mocha)

Kämpfer
Thursday 25:29 (10/01)
- Uh, conflicted here. I like the lead (girl form) and the split personality redhead :D Fight/skills/weapons seemed interesting. Will expound on this later.

Nyan Koi!
Thursday 25:59 (10/01)
- Haven't seen, but person who hates cats can suddenly understand cat talk. Worth looking into, if anything.

Seitokai no Ichizon
Friday 25:58 (10/02)
- Zero interest but [gg] dissed it so I had to see for myself just how bad it was. At first it was funny the way they kept picking on their own series (is there really a need for an anime for this, amazon reviews for the manga are bad, etc) and title change suggestions to make it more appealing. Had to laugh at the adding-a-star(☆)-in-between quip, even if I haven't seen Lucky Star.

And then there's..
Omni got me interested coz of his synopsis..

Aoi Bungaku Series
Saturday 25:20 (10/10)
- Madhouse's other new series for the fall is actually six separate stories from classic literary works published in the early to mid 1900s. The six are: Dazai Osamu's Run, Melos! and No Longer Human, Souseki Natsume's Kokoro, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's Hell Screen and The Spider's Thread, and Sakaguchi Ango's In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom. That and famous mangaka (Obata Takeshi, Tite Kubo, and Konomi Takeshi) worked on the character designs.
- OAV's perhaps?

Kaidan Restaurant
Tuesdays 19:30 (10/13)
- A collection of ghost stories based on a long-running children's book series.

Kuuchuu Buranko
Thursday 24:45 (10/15)
- Trippy looking story about a psychiatrist with unorthodox methods for his unique patients.
- Standalone episodes? Seiyuu lineup listed on the official site makes it seem worth a look.

And there ends my very long entry of "thoughts on fall season 2009" or I always wanted to do this every season but never get around to until now or I will check out almost anything it seems. (More on this later = Screencapped reviews to follow.)

[DISCLAIMER: Just because I checked it out, doesn't mean I'll follow through and watch it in it's entirety. Anime seasons master list will be updated with what makes the final cut as usual.]

Well, its become a habit for me to do this. So here we go. This time I do it at the end of the season ahahaha. Fall previews are already up. Ah well, might have a fall lineup ready later if I have time.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
- The one thing that got my interest in the summer lineup. Nothing like a show about a natural crisis and production I.G. on the helm to get my attention.

Canaan
- Was sort of interested in this, then I saw the kickass looking brunette and saw the seiyuu which pretty much clinched it for me.

Bakemonogatari
- Caught my eye solely due to the guy looking at the paper airplane. Also, the title sounded promising.

These two also caught my attention. I think titles get to me more than anything.

Needless
Element Hunters

Not sure I'll have the time or inclination to pursue these two though. Would need a second look/episode for me to decide on these I think.

Pwyll and Arawn, the interdimensional(?) yaoi pair.

Tears to Tiara 26
That was a very decent satisfactory ending to the series. Closure and then some. If only all series ended this well.

The Other Pairs )

Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ 26
Gahahahahahahhaa *deletes*
(Well ok, not before I make clips of Hoshi's character's scenes :/)

Chi's New Address 104
If a mob of cats like that showed up at your house, would you really welcome them with open arms? XD
Incidentally, MAL says this is the 400th title I've completed watching.

Ugh. Mondays. Work continues to slay me.

Was making good progress with the old Inuyasha series when I hit a snag. Had problems reading the dvd-r disc I burned eps 133-155 to. Panic ensued and spent the better part of the day scouring the web looking for Ani-Kraze subs (apparently I can't seem to stand anything else, even the AHQ ones whose filesizes are way too huge). Found some gaps and tried the errant disc once again this time trying to copy one file at a time. Thankfully, most of the latter episodes still work, so now I'm only missing eps 135-138 (only 4 episodes), which I thankfully found links for. Now it's just a matter of scheduling some leech time.

Darker than Black Season 2 teaser commercials and trailers are out. I'm actually kinda excited about this, despite the lackluster ending of S1. Guess I don't really care as long as I get to see more Hei ;p

From the trailer, it sorta looks like the story from the manga is being used? I've only read like 1 or 2 chaps so not too sure but it seems like it. October seems so far away...

So that makes it two series I'm looking forward to come fall season, the other being Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen. Darn, and here I was planning to sit out the season again like I did this Summer :/ Unless of course the subbers release in a consistent manner, which isn't exactly fair to expect from the subbers :/ This is why it's better to sit them out til they're complete instead of being on tenterhooks on a weekly basis waiting for them to come out.

And by that I mean it's not listing any new releases for stuff I'm currently following. This makes me feel like I've run out of anime, which isn't ever true in my case because if I had to list all the stuff I haven't watched/finished/plantowatchinthislifetime it would be too overwhelming to look at (thus why I'm only keeping my plan to watch list at a reasonably manageable number over at MAL).

There's not even a new Ristorante Paradiso. I would have loved to finish this over the weekend. Although, if my plans push through tomorrow, I may just get what I want in that respect.

You'd think having 20 (now 18) titles on my Currently Watching in MAL would keep me well occupied for a week. This is, in fact, the most I've had listed that I'm concurrently watching. Seeing other people's current list always makes me think that's too many to be watching at the same time. Not that people actually watch all they have listed all at the same time. But still, the sheer number is rather daunting to look at, much less wade through, and yet here I am having 20 (now 18) titles in my currents list and I find myself whining that I've run out of stuff to watch. Have I made you fall asleep yet? Good.

Anyways, with nothing else on my plate I'll most likely finish xxxHOLIC, Kurokami, and possibly FLCL (for Critics and Connoiseurs) over the weekend then. After which I feel like I'm at a loss again as to what to watch next. Actually, after all that rambling, I now have a couple of candidates in mind.

And I was worried I had too much on my plate to follow the Summer season. This, after telling myself I'd sit out the next season since I was watching too much this season. Yeah right. Guess we'll just have to see once the subs start coming out.

P.S. Belated Happy Birthday to [info]nitaspitas <3 !!!

Sorry for the time leap to Spring 2009 (circa week 11) but this is the easiest format to update with. I'd promised myself I'd make a proper update this time around or I'll never get around to reviving this journal. And if I don't do one now, there won't be one for tomorrow coz I won't have time to watch anime tonight on account of company sponsored free movie tonight (Transformers 2, YEAH BABY!!!).

tl;dr - I'M BACK (I hope)

So here be my dailies while I try to organize my thoughts in other areas.

Master Mage Ogam ♥, Tears to Tiara - Episode 11

Hatsukoi Limited (11)
- Penultimate episode, Enomoto was more annoying than usual. I'll be glad to have them resolve their differences soon. I'll be checking out the 4 volume manga afterwards.

Cross Game (11)
- End of the practice game. The last 3 episodes proves that I still have very little clue when it comes to how baseball works XD

Guin Saga (11)
- Lots of Nalis screentime on this. Sadly, he is still made of much fail, though he doesn't scream like a girl this time around.

Tears to Tiara (11)
- Where the random screencap of the day comes from. I just found that scene where Ogam unleashes his power to be very cool. Come to think of it, Ogam is probably one of the few old guys who doesn't exhibit a penchant for perviness. His droll humor is much love, though the crew seldom appreciates it :/
- Hmm, this was a more serious episode than usual. Normally, we get one humorous almost-but-not-quite-out-of-place scene, which amuses me much. This one is pretty much the resolution to the whole Olivia vs Lidia angst.

Still no new Phantom or Basara this week =/

In the oldies front, I picked xxxHOLIC back up. Apparently, I got further in than I thought. Skimmed some of the earlier episodes trying to find the last episode I saw and found quite a bit more 104 moments that I remember the anime having.

Here, have an arrow on Doumeki... )

And on the manga front...

Skip Beat (ch 141-142)
cut for screaming )

Well, glad I got that out of my system XD I was so frustrated that I decided to remove all the other manga on my MAL Reading list just so there's only two left. I look forward to the day when I can put this on the "On Hold" section XD

I think I owe someone a meme. I'll go hunt that down later.

P.S. Almost forgot, heard through the grapevine that jpqueen is closing. Today is their last day June 25th, they'll send orders til July 8th or some such. Supposedly, you can see this announcement if you're logged in. I'm not registered though so I can't verify this personally.
